Okay I was talking to a team I have spoke with in the past. They recommended this field they go to on a regular basis. It is about 3.5 hours away, bio bbs required, $25 general admission fee (not sure on events), and has some rules slightly stricter than ours. I have watched a few videos and I have been pretty impressed so far. What are yalls thoughts? www.fastactionairsoft.com/about.html

Here is a review of the field: www.houstonairsoft.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12072OP Silverwolve "So.. For those who are not following us on facebook (Shameless promoting), we just got back home from our trip to Fort Worth for Fast Action Airsoft... While we did not get many photos, we did get video footage (Which will be up on our team channel as soon as I edit it). I saw great potential on the field.. But I also saw a lot of failure.. Below I will go over some of the things I saw: We arrived at Fort Worth on Friday after a 5 hour drive (Would've been less had we not taken the wrong exit...twice..)... Unpacked our stuff, then went to check out the field which was 5 minutes from the hotel... The place is not that hard to find except Google Maps somehow thinks it's on the other side of the street... No big signs when not open, just a small one that says "FAACQB" on it.. Saturday rolled along and we pried ourselves out of bed after a long night of.. Swimming.... We packed our stuff in the cars, ate breakfast and headed out to the field... Once the field is open, they put out a big sign that says "Fast Action Airsoft" right outside the door making it easier to find... We drove around to the back where parking is set up and pitched our tents.. Looking around we saw there was a decent amount of people (considering this was just a skirmish day).. We saw where chrono was, and saw where we check in.. Pretty plain and simple... Gased up mags, put on gear, drank more water, and headed out to chrono... Colored zip ties helped a lot, and them using their own bbs helped a lot as well... Chrono was pretty fast and easy, they had a set amount of mags pre-filled with their own .2g bbs making it much faster to chrono... At this time we noticed people walking through the staging area with mags inside weapons... Told a few to please remove them and headed out to pay... $25 no tax.. Always a plus... We were told to wait for the next game in a staging room considered a "safe zone" where people had chairs, tables, and gear set up and goggles could be taken off.. We saw a lot of people with mags inside weapons and fingers on triggers.. We felt unsafe so we kept our eye pro on... I noticed an admin in the room wearing an orange vest and asked him, "Hey is this a safe zone?" "Yeah" he replied... "So does that mean we can take our goggles off?" "Yeah"... This made me wonder why he didn't say anything about mags being in... Right after this conversation, we saw a group of players heading towards us as they fought a group of players located next to the staging area... Since there are no windows and the room is basically completely open, stray bbs were flying in.. After about 2 minutes of this, the admins called for everyone to put eye pro on... I got shot a few times in the back during all of this... After a few minutes of battle going on next to us in the staging area we hear people scream and calling for game off.. Then we hear "fire!" and people running towards the brush stomping at the ground where we see smoke coming out... After asking around, we find that someone had thrown a smoke grenade into some dry shrubs and they had caught on fire (Video on fire HERE)... After the fire was put out.. We were briefed on how the next game would work and told where to go.. We were then marked by tape and headed out... I have to admit, the field is awesome! 3 stories high, cat walks, multiple rooms, stairs.. It was CQB heaven... Had a great time with my team going through the buildings... A lot of pitch black rooms made it a bit hard to navigate and it made me wish I hadn't forgotten my flashlight at the house... Lucky for me though, Godfather had his trusty flashlight with him.. Saw some great usage for grenades and great players.. Did not see too many problems with hit shrugging... The most common problems were full auto firing inside buildings and more importantly, people taking eye pro off while on the field... After finishing our game, we went back to the "safe zone" to be briefed on next game and headed out again... This was also pretty fun but not as fun as the previous game IMO... Then came my favorite part.. Lunch! Great food (Thanks for spotting me Godfather).. Then we headed back to play... A few more problems with people taking eye pro off and just a few problems with hit shrugging... Oh, and a brief cease fire while the ambulance took the kid away that had passed out from the heat and dehydration (drinking water is very important)... I only played half of this game since my weapon decided to stop working on me after problems with compression... My team soon followed after battling the heat and losing... We decided to call it a day after resting a bit and hydrating... Throughout the entire time we were at staging, we witnessed players a few feet away shooting in the parking lot towards the houses that run right behind the field... Ninja then informed an admin about it who told them to stop... Only for them to continue doing it after the admin left... Nothing else was done about this from the admins.. There were newer players also who saw this and thought it was allowed... We had to inform them that it was not allowed, which they took well and stopped... After fiddling with my Jeep for a while, we headed out to grab a bite and then the hotel room.. Over all, the field was great.. I met some great players (shout out the the guy who understood my patch and showed me his, I wish I could've gotten your name).. The thing that I think is needed is being a bit more strict or just replacing the admins all together.. The admins didn't seem to check anything or care.. Rules did not seem to be enforced... Other than that, it is still a great place to check out if you haven't yet..."

Wow, good review. Under the Airsoft events link I posted this field has an OP coming up called the Helium Project. Its outside of my price range though.

Okay just checked and its $85 and you must be in Woodlands or Multicam. Not any other uniform and thats top and bottom. They keep saying milsim. They also want midcaps and no high caps. Also for milsim. Im getting tired of Civilians saying midcaps and lowcaps make it milsim. It DOESNT! When we can call for fire, have the Air Farts do a buzz by, or just launch a damn Cruise missile or send in some tanks (and no a 203 will not take out an Abrams) then maybe we can start playing milsim. Until then we are grown men playing with toys. *Kicking the soap box away*
